Introduction

What is Havening?

90% of our thoughts are filtered and created through our past experiences. Based on what those experiences may be, we can feel drained or energized by those thoughts, and they become how we experience the world. The way we perceive the world is very real to us. The feelings of control, avoidance, apathy, or people pleasing we feel often comes from situations that may have happened in the past. These thoughts and feelings make us create stories and narratives that often are objectively untrue. Our perceptions become deceptions.

Havening is a self-directed touch based technique that calms the nervous system from a state of overwhelm and anxiety, into a state of peace and calm. It is in this calm that we can access the feelings and solutions we desire and see opportunity instead of defeat.

This technique has many applications including resolving negative feelings around past events, reducing anxiety and increasing motivation, reducing anxiety around future events and performance, strengthening neural pathways for desired feelings, reducing feelings of stress and overwhelm immediately, and increasing our connection to our higher self.

What to expect

How We’ll Work Together

When we start our coaching process, havening will be a tool used throughout our sessions if and when the client feels it is appropriate in the given situation. Education unlocks understating for success and when you work with me you will learn the technique and have all the tools you need to be a successful practitioner of havening on on your own. This education includes how our brain processes information and how past events could affect our future perceptions. With this knowledge of how the brain processes information, you will understand how the most seemingly innocuous events can change your future thoughts, feelings, and performance.

In the beginning of our work together we will establish what you would like to work on, the things that could be holding you back, and the undesired feelings you’re having. We will use the technique to transform those draining emotions into objective perception, where you can access creative solutions and calm.

Where attention goes, neurons flow, and connections grow. When we can identify feelings that drain your energy, I will help you find where those come from and resolve them. In doing this we create a new attention, new connections, and a strengthened sense of self.
